Connecting to and using Lightspeed X-Series

This guide provides comprehensive instructions for connecting and using the Lightspeed R-Series POS integration with Workshop.

The Lightspeed R-Series integration enables seamless synchronization between Workshop and your Lightspeed POS system. This integration supports:

Initial Setup

Connecting Lightspeed

To connect lightspeed, head to the "POS Integrations" area of workshop, and click the "Lightspeed R-Series" logo, this will direct you to an authentication page where you can grant access and be redirected back to Workshop to make the connection.

Configuration

Once connected, please fill in the required values such as shop, register and tax category. This will make sure the system is configured correctly to send sales into Lightspeed from Workshop.

On this page you can also find information about syncing stock and customers from lightspeed. This will happen automatically, but can be triggered manually in the future if required. Lightspeed will sync every hour, and any updates to your customers and products should be reflected in Workshop right away due to our webhook connection.

Automatic Synchronization
The integration provides automatic bidirectional synchronization:


• Frequency: Every hour

• Stock Data: Product information, inventory levels, and pricing

• Customer Data: Customer records and contact information

• Update Method: Real-time webhook notifications ensure immediate updates

Sending a sale

When you've completed a job, it's time to send it to Lightspeed. On the invoice tab (or top right when viewing an invoice directly) you can click "Send to POS", this will open the dialog to continue.

Click "Send to Lightspeed" to send the sale to lightspeed.

If the sale has sent correctly, you should see information similar to that below. You can click the "View in Lightspeed" to open the sale in the POS area of Lightspeed and continue and finish the sale.

Troubleshooting

• Connection Errors: Verify your Lightspeed credentials and Workshop permissions• Synchronization Problems: Check that your configuration settings are correct• Transaction Failures: Ensure all required fields are completed in the Workshop job
