Linking your Point of Sale (POS) system with Workshop by bikebook allows you to streamline your operations, sync data, and manage your business more efficiently. Follow these simple steps to connect your POS provider.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Go to Configuration
On the left hand menu of your Workshop by bikebook dashboard, locate and click on Configuration. This section is where you manage your platform settings and integrations.

  2. Click on POS/Accounting Integrations
Within the configuration menu, find and click on POS Integration. This will take you to the page where you can view and select available POS providers.

  3. Click on Your Chosen POS Provider
You will see a list of supported POS systems. Click on the logo or name of your specific POS provider, such as Square, Lightspeed, or Shopify, to initiate the connection process.

  4. Sign Into Your POS Provider
A secure pop up window or redirect will appear, prompting you to sign into your account with your chosen POS provider. Enter your POS credentials and authorise the connection to Workshop by bikebook.

Note: This step securely links your accounts. Workshop by bikebook does not store your POS login details.

  5. Sync Your Data From Your POS
Once you have successfully signed in and authorised the connection, you will be prompted to sync your data. Click the Sync Data or similar button. This process will import relevant information, such as products, services, and customer data, from your POS system into your Workshop by bikebook account.

Troubleshooting Tips

  • Login Issues: Double check your POS login credentials if you are having trouble signing in during the authorisation step.

  • Authorisation Errors: Ensure you grant all necessary permissions when prompted by your POS provider to allow Workshop by bikebook to access your data.

  • Data Not Syncing: If data does not appear to sync correctly, try initiating a manual sync from the POS integration page, or contact Workshop by bikebook support for assistance.

  • Unsupported POS: If your POS provider is not listed, please contact our support team to enquire about future integrations or alternative solutions.

By following these steps, your POS system will be successfully linked, enhancing your overall management experience on Workshop by bikebook.
