How to Print from a Job Card

To print a document for a specific job, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Job Card: Navigate to the job you wish to document.

  2. Access the Action Menu: Click on the three dots icon at the top-right of the job card.

  3. Select Your Document: Choose either Print Job Ticket or Print Receipt from the dropdown menu.

  4. Adjust Print Area: When the print preview appears, you will see blue dashed lines. You can manually adjust these lines to define exactly how much of the page content is included in your printout.

Customising Your Print Configuration

If you want to change the default layout or the specific information displayed on your documents, use the configuration tool. This ensures your printouts are organised exactly how you need them.

  1. Navigate to Settings: Click the three dots icon on the top-right of any job card and select Print Configuration.

  2. Select Preview Type: Use the Preview dropdown menu to toggle between the Job Ticket and Receipt views.

  3. Adjust Dimensions:

    • Width: Set the pixel width to match your specific printer or paper size.

    • Notes Height: Adjust the vertical space allocated for notes and checklists.

  4. Manage Customer Privacy: Use the checkboxes to show or hide the following customer details on the printed page:

    • Name

    • Email

    • Phone Number

    • Address

  5. Save Changes: Click Save and Close to apply these settings to all future prints.

Professional Documentation Tips

  • Internal Job Tickets: These include QR codes and checklists (such as Test Ridden or M Check) to ensure quality control in the workshop.

  • Customer Receipts: These focus on the financial breakdown, showing the subtotal, VAT, and total balance clearly.

  • Test Prints: Use the Test Print button within the configuration menu to verify your layout before saving.
