This guide explains how to add specific line items to your service templates. These items allow you to detail the individual tasks or components included within a service package, providing a clear breakdown for both your mechanics and your customers in the form of 'job reports'.
What are service checklists and job reports in practice?
β
Service checklists are visible for your customers through the Workshop booking widget on your website. They'll look something like this:
The job report is a checklist that is visible to the mechanic on the Workshop platform, as a handy way of ticking off tasks and recommending changes when servicing a product. It can also be made visible to customers so they can see a thorough breakdown of what you're doing, improving the customer experience. This is how it looks on the customer tracking page (a URL they can access throughout the job)
Navigating to services
Start by locating the main navigation menu on the left hand side of your workshop interface. Click on services and then select all services to see your full list of service packages and individual offerings.
Customising a service package
To add or remove specific tasks within a package, follow these steps:
Select a package: Click on the name of the service package you wish to modify (for example, basic service package).
Locate component sections: Scroll down the service page to find options organised by bike components, such as drivetrain, brakes, or wheels and tyres.
Manage existing items: You will see a list of pre-defined suggestions. Simply untick the box next to any item you do not wish to include in this specific package.
Edit item names: If you prefer different terminology, you can click directly on the name of a pre-defined item to rename it.

Job Report Categories Explained
The job report is a configurable checklist used by mechanics during a service. It serves two purposes:
Helps mechanics track completed checks
Shows customers exactly what was included in their service
By default, the job report includes common bike service categories, such as:
Frame/Fork
Wheels/Tyres
Accessories
Each main category contains subcategories (specific checks). For example:
Frame/Fork may include:
Inspect frame for damage or wear (dropouts, tubes, seat clamp, mounting points)
Inspect/adjust suspension linkages (if required)
All categories and subcategories are fully customisable, so you can tailor them to your service.
How to customise:
Edit main categories:
Go toConfiguration > System settings > Job report settingsEdit subcategories:
Go toServices > All Services
β Select the service
β Scroll to Options
β Expand a category to edit its subcategories
