There might come a time when you need to disconnect your Point of Sale (POS) system from Workshop by bikebook, whether you're switching providers or making other changes. Disconnecting your POS is a straightforward process.
Here’s how to do it:
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Go to the Left-Hand Menu
From your Workshop by bikebook dashboard, navigate to the main menu located on the left side of your screen.
Go to 'CONFIGURATION'
In the left-hand menu, find and click on 'CONFIGURATION'. This section is where you manage core settings and integrations for your workshop.
Go to 'POS Integration'
Within the 'CONFIGURATION' menu, click on 'POS Integration'. This will take you to the page where you manage your connected POS providers and related syncing options.
Scroll to 'Support'
On the 'POS Integration' page, scroll down until you locate the section dedicated to 'Support'. This area provides options related to your POS connection.
Select 'Disconnect POS' to Disconnect Your POS
Within the 'Support' section, you'll see a button or option labeled 'Disconnect POS'. Click this to initiate the disconnection process.
You may be asked to confirm your decision before the POS system is fully disconnected from Workshop by bikebook.
Note: Disconnecting your POS will stop future automatic syncing of stock and customer data. Any data previously synced will remain in Workshop but it will no longer update automatically from your POS.
Important Considerations Before Disconnecting:
Data Syncs: Be aware that future stock and customer data will no longer sync automatically. You'll need to manage these manually or reconnect your POS later.
Reconnection: If you plan to reconnect the same POS or a different one in the future, you'll simply follow the "How To Link My POS" guide.
Backup Data: It's always a good practice to ensure you have a backup of your data directly from your POS provider before making significant integration changes.
By following these steps, you can safely and effectively disconnect your POS system from Workshop by bikebook.
