Keeping your inventory accurate across all platforms is key to efficient business operations. Workshop allows you to sync your stock directly from your integrated Point of Sale (POS) system, ensuring your product availability is always up-to-date.
Here’s how to initiate a stock sync:
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Go to the Left-Hand Menu
From your Workshop dashboard, navigate to the main menu located on the left side of your screen.
Go Down to 'CONFIGURATION'
In the left-hand menu, find and click on 'CONFIGURATION'. This section is where you manage core settings and integrations for your workshop.
Select 'POS Integration'
Within the 'CONFIGURATION' menu, click on 'POS Integration'. This will take you to the page where you manage your connected POS providers and related syncing options.
Under 'Stock Syncing', Select 'Sync Items Updated Since'
On the 'POS Integration' page, scroll down until you locate the section dedicated to 'Stock Syncing'.
Here, you'll see a button or option labeled 'Sync Items Updated Since'. Click this to trigger a manual sync of your stock data from your connected POS system. This action will pull in any item updates that have occurred since your last sync or a specified date/time.
Note: You can verify which items have successfully synced and view your current synced inventory by clicking on 'View Items' within the same 'Stock Syncing' section.
Important Considerations:
Regular Syncs: Perform regular stock syncs, especially after major inventory changes in your POS, to ensure accuracy on Workshop by bikebook.
Initial Setup: Ensure your POS system is correctly linked before attempting to sync stock. If you haven't linked your POS yet, refer to the "How To Link My POS" guide.
Troubleshooting: If you notice discrepancies after syncing, check your POS system for any unsaved changes or contact support if the issue persists.
By keeping your stock synced, you provide real-time availability information to your customers and streamline your inventory management!
