How To Limit My Drop Off Numbers Per Day

Updated this week

To ensure a manageable workflow and prevent overbooking, Workshop by bikebook allows you to limit the number of customer drop-offs and pick-ups you accept each day. This feature helps you maintain a smooth operation and provide the best service to your customers.

Follow these steps to set a daily limit:

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Go to the Left-Hand Menu

    • From your Workshop by bikebook dashboard, find the main navigation menu on the left side of your screen.

  2. Go Down to 'Availability'

    • Scroll down the left-hand menu and click on 'Availability'. This section is where you control your workshop's schedule and service settings.

  3. Select 'Availability Settings'

    • Within the 'Availability' section, you will likely find various options. Click on 'Availability Settings'. This will take you to a page where you can adjust general availability parameters.

  4. Select 'Limit Customer Drop Offs and Pick Ups'

    • On the 'Availability Settings' page, look for an option that says 'Limit customer drop offs and pick ups'. Select this option to activate the daily limit feature.

  5. Input the Number of Drop Offs and Picks Per Day

    • Once the limit feature is enabled, a field will appear where you can enter the maximum number of drop-offs and pick-ups you want to allow per day.

    • Note: The number you input here represents the total number of drop-offs and collections combined. For example, if you enter "10", the system will allow a maximum of 10 drop-offs and pick-ups in total for that day.

Important Considerations:

  • Combined Limit: Remember that the limit applies to both drop-offs and pick-ups. Plan your capacity accordingly.

  • Review Regularly: As your business evolves, periodically review and adjust this limit to match your staffing levels and workload.

  • Communicate Clearly: Consider informing customers about your drop-off/pick-up limits on your booking page or FAQ to manage expectations.
