Managing your workshop's schedule effectively means accounting for all time, including personal time off. Workshop by bikebook makes it simple to block out time, ensuring customers can't book services when you or your staff aren't available.
Follow these steps to schedule your time off:
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Go to the Left-Hand Menu
From your Workshop by bikebook dashboard, look for the main navigation menu on the left side of your screen.
Go Down to 'Availability'
Scroll down the left-hand menu until you find and click on 'Availability'. This section is where you manage all aspects of your workshop's schedule and working hours.
Select 'Time Off'
Within the 'Availability' section, you'll see different tabs or options. Click on the 'Time Off' tab or section to view and manage your scheduled breaks.
Click 'Add New Time Off'
To add a new period of time off, click the 'Add New Time Off' button, or a similar '+' (plus) icon, which is typically located at the top or bottom of the 'Time Off' list.
Block Out the Appropriate Time Off
A form or pop-up will appear, allowing you to define the details of your time off. You'll usually need to specify:
Start Date: Select the first day of your time off.
End Date: Select the last day of your time off (if it's more than one day).
Start Time: If it's a partial day off, specify when the time off begins.
End Time: If it's a partial day off, specify when the time off ends.
Reason (Optional): You might be able to add a brief note about the reason for the time off (e.g., "Holiday," "Training Day").
Apply to Specific Staff (Optional): If you have multiple staff members, you might be able to select if this time off applies to everyone or just specific individuals.
Once you've filled in all the necessary details, click 'Save', 'Add Time Off', or 'Create' to confirm and add it to your schedule.
Important Considerations:
Plan Ahead: Always block out time off as soon as you know your schedule to prevent unwanted bookings.
Review Your Calendar: After adding time off, check your main calendar to ensure the blocked periods are correctly reflected.
Editing/Deleting: You can typically edit or delete existing time off entries by clicking on them or selecting an 'Edit'/'Delete' option next to the entry.
By utilizing the 'Time Off' feature, you maintain an accurate schedule, ensuring your workshop is only available when you and your team are ready to work!
